The festival is a voluntary project to promote intercultural diversity through networking, communication and encounters.

The initial focus is on the topics of human rights, flight and integration with a focus on education and thematic discussion and the strengthening of intercultural and integrative associations and initiatives through networking and joint success in project implementation.

Information stands, interactive workshops, lectures, readings, exhibitions and performances throughout Bonn and in the Brückenforum by the participating organizations, associations and initiatives make a valuable contribution to the presentation and innovation of intercultural work in Bonn on the topics of human rights, anti-discrimination, anti-racism, sea rescue, refugees in Bonn, Germany and worldwide, homelessness, violence against women and girls, child poverty, etc. at the festival in a results-oriented manner, planned from 10:00 - 16:00 at the respective locations of the intercultural organizations and from 14:00 - 18:00 in the Brückenforum (information stands/stage pre-program).

Music, dance and the performing arts as forms of expression are important elements of cultural identity and social cohesion as well as possible means for intercultural exchange, lived integration and creative innovation.
Against this background, the second focus of the festival is on the musical performances on stage and the musical ONE WORLD PARADE as a demonstration of peace with the Kültürklüngel Orkestar through the city centre of Bonn to the venue (12:30 Friedensplatz > Brückenforum) and 3 bands from 18:30!

All musicians come from different countries of origin, which is also reflected in the music and song lyrics. Traditional rhythms find a new development in modernity through skilful style fusion of diverse music genres from all over the world.

ONE WORLD PARADE & KÜLTÜRKLÜNGEL ORKESTAR - artistically accompanied by eStefania as a fire fairy (stilt walk act) and giant soap bubbles with Daniel from Pyronetik - is welcomed at the Brückenforum by Samballegre with thunderous tam-tam.

The Kültürklüngel is an open, musical and kültüktivist project that was launched a few years ago as part of the carnival celebrations in Bonn's old town. The project stands for peaceful coexistence in cultural diversity. In the spirit of integration through music, the Kültürklüngel unites and mixes musicians and influences from different countries and cultures; everyone is welcome!
With a changing line-up, the Kültürklüngel plays a colorful repertoire of well-known evergreens and folklore from all over the world, sometimes as a large orchestra and sometimes as a small band.
The origins of their popular songs are as diverse and global as the group itself: Songs and spirits unite influences from the Orient and Occident, old and not-so-old Europe, North and South America, from the Balkans eastwards and back to Swabia - this is how these electorate and Urrheinländer* loosen up voices and dance legs and pick people up where the Kültür consciousness skips over and diversity becomes a motto of life. The Kültürklüngel Orkestar is sometimes out of tune, but always in a good mood - and so underground that nobody knows where, when and how they will play next...

Global music workshop
In cooperation with the Landesmusikakademie NRW, the ARTpolis Community Arts & Music Lab of the BIM e.V. will offer a six to seven-hour workshop on global music, most likely a percussion workshop on oriental, African or Latin American rhythms. The hands-on workshop is aimed at interested musicians as well as beginners without prior knowledge and is organized as part of the Brückenklang series of the Landesmusikakademie NRW. The costs are borne by the Landesmusikakademie NRW and ARTpolis c/o BIM e.V.

Presentation of cultural projects
Through the MIGRApolis House of Resources Bonn (HoR), the BIM cooperates with numerous migrant organizations as well as intercultural and integrative associations and initiatives in Bonn and the surrounding region. As part of the ONE WORLD FESTIVAL BONN 2024, funded project sponsors of the HoR will be given the opportunity to present their associations and funded projects at MIGRApolis and enrich the festival's supporting program with cultural contributions.
Any participant can join the ONE WORLD FESTIVAL BONN 2024 at any time and take part in both workshops with the "Workshops & Acts" ticket.

Creative spaces for immigrant/refugee women
Haus Mondial, the home of Caritas' specialist service for integration and migration in Bonn, would like to create a safe space for immigrant/refugee women with its workshop offer as part of the ONE WORLD FESTIVAL BONN 2024: Here, women from different countries should meet freely, exchange ideas and contribute their creative talents.
The aim of such a workshop is to strengthen self-confidence, expression of opinion and self-realization.
Contents of this workshop:
Various stations in which the women can participate according to their interests and inclinations.
- Artistic and creative activities
- Movement activities
- Film and discussion - "strong women"
- Food for body and soul: cooking together and food/household products as care practices, recipes from different countries
The workshop will be led by Sabine Kern, campaign officer Diversity. Worth a lot. of Caritas in Bonn.
Any participant can join both workshops at any time with the "Workshops & Acts" ticket for the ONE WORLD FESTIVAL BONN 2024 and take part.

Giving children and young people a playful approach to theater, breaking down any fears they may have and enabling a deeper understanding of the content and forms of theater - these are the main aims of the JTB workshop, the drama school of the Junges Theater Bonn. The focus is on active design, sensory experience and the desire for creative self-involvement - true to the motto: theater air makes you self-confident, strong and free!
With its program for the ONE WORLD FESTIVAL BONN 2024, the Junges Theater Bonn e. V. addresses the children and young people of our city and the surrounding area and would like to make an enriching contribution to the overall project:
In the drama school, close to the Brückenforum, all-day workshops will be held around the themes of the festival.
These offers will be designed methodically and didactically in such a way that they are aimed equally at children and young people:
